Vehicle Skateboards was started by well respected pro Robbie Gangemi in early 2000 and seemed all but gone up until now, until the word of a relaunch of the brand in 2010 with a new twist on the skateboard Recycled Wood remade back into skateboards that from what we think could have a great effect on the devastation that skateboarding has on the maple tree consumption. In a 2008 poll skateboarding sat at #6 for the top tree devastation from a consumer product, which is quiet an impact.
Helping lead the way with the new brand relaunch will be Jamie Story and Gio Estevez who are also well known in the skateboard world and will be working with Robbie through their skateboard manufacturing company Pop Master Innovations. They had this to say about the new products,
“products are extremely environmentally friendly and can be made from an assortment of recycled Hard Rock Maple products and by-products, including used skateboard decks. With our Patent Pending Method, high quality maple can be continuously reused for skateboard manufacturing and other applications.”
If this is all true this will be the biggest thing to happen to the skateboarding industry since PJ Ladd.
